Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 A/C Leak Or Coolant?

Green Leaking from under your WK2 is nearly never coolant leaking. Unless someone in the past has used the wrong coolant on your vehicle, the WK2 cooling system runs a red coolant.

So what does it mean if you have green leaking from the front of your Jeep?
assuming your Jeep is still running the factory recommended coolant Green can only be a leak from the air conditioning system.

The air conditioning systems have a Ultraviolet dye added to them, this dye assists with diagnostics to pinpoint leaks using an ultraviolet light. On the WK2 Jeep Grand Cherokee this shows up from the passenger side bottom corner of the air conditioning condenser.

The condenser on the WK2 is a combined unit that is roughly half a air conditioning condenser and the other half the transmission cooler.
it is not common for the transmission coolers to leak but it does happen from time to time as the video below demonstrates.
The most common issue causing leaks at the front of the Jeep is the air conditioning condenser itself leaks. This will show in the form of liquid leaking, air conditioning not getting cold and a possible hissing noise in the dash.
