Jeep Grand Cherokee Coolant Leak

The Jeep grand Cherokee is known for a number of coolant leaks. We have released some articles about some of these in the past. Please view our archives for more information on this.

One of the more common coolant leaks is the turbo coolant supply hose located in the valley. This fault results in the valley filling up with coolant and then leaks out the back of the engine, down the bell housing and off the bottom of the gear box.

The repair for this requires the removal of the inlet manifold, fuel lines and rails. This is not a very nice job and unless you are a competent and experienced DIY person, it is not advised to attempt this on your own.

The replacement hose, from Jeep is rather expensive, the hose can be replaced using generic coolant hose.
