Jeep grand Cherokee 3.6 petrol Misfire

There is a semi common fault with the 3.6 petrol engine fitted to the grand cherokee and some wranglers. The common fault is the engine develops a misfire from Cylinder 2 caused by low compression.

This fault is a damaged valve which requires the engine to be stripped down and some very significant costs involved.

The video shows the Jeep 3.6 with this fault.

There is talk within the Jeep Owners forums that no matter the age of this engine, Jeep will come to the party on the warranty claim. We are not 100% sure on this at the time of publishing. We will research this and release the information around this when we know more.
