Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 DPF 100%

The Jeep Grand Cherokee should do a DPF burn on its own to burn off the build up in side the DPF itself (Diesel Particular Filter)

If the requirements required for this to occurs are not meet then the burn will not happen.

One cause for this is diagnostic fault codes. If the the vehicles computer has any fault codes stored the DPF burn wont happen.

Additional to this, if the vehicle is not given the opportunity to do the burn. That is to say the vehicle needs to be driven at a certain speed and be at a certain operating temperature for a period of time to do the burn. If the vehicle is only ever doing stop start city driving, it will not do the burn on its own either.
