Current Wranglers Builds in house at the moment

If you’ve ever been involved in a project car, you already know the feeling. The satisfaction of building it often outweighs actually driving it. It’s the process that gets you, working through problems, figuring things out, and slowly seeing everything come together. That’s what keeps people hooked, and it’s something we see every day in the workshop.

At the moment, we’ve got a few builds happening, and each one shows a different side of what goes into doing things properly.

One of those starts with a two-door Wrangler that’s now being used as a donor vehicle. Instead of letting it go to waste, we’re salvaging usable parts and feeding them into other builds. It’s a practical approach that keeps costs under control while still making use of genuine components where it matters. When you’re building properly, this kind of resource management makes a big difference.

Another project in the workshop is a 3.8L Wrangler that came in with a failed engine. Rather than replacing it with the same setup, it’s now undergoing a full 6.4 HEMI conversion. This isn’t just a simple engine swap, it’s a complete transformation that requires planning, supporting mods, and attention to detail to make it all work together. The goal is to have it ready for Jeep Jamboree in October 2026, and builds like this are exactly what project cars are about.

We’ve also got a Wrangler in for major drivetrain upgrades, including air lockers and a full automatic transmission overhaul. This is the kind of work that changes how the vehicle actually performs, especially off-road. It’s not just about adding capability, it’s about making sure everything works together and can handle the demands being put on it.

Another one currently in progress is a short wheelbase Wrangler receiving a 4-inch lift kit. While that might sound straightforward, these setups can bring their own challenges. Getting the geometry right, maintaining ride quality, and making sure all components work together properly takes time. It’s something we’re working through to make sure it performs the way it should, not just looks the part.

Across all of these builds, the smaller details are just as important as the big upgrades. Wiring repairs, finishing touches, and making sure everything is clean and reliable all play a role in the final result. It’s often these details that separate a rushed job from something that’s built properly.

At the end of the day, project cars aren’t just about the finished product. They’re about the process, the decisions along the way, and doing things right the first time. That’s what leads to a car that not only looks good but performs the way it should.
