Range Rover, Range Rover Sport Recalled Due to Headlight Issue

Jaguar Land Rover is taking swift action to address a safety concern in the 2023 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models by issuing a recall for a headlight problem. The recall notice states that a software issue may cause the headlamps not to function as intended. This could lead to a loss of headlights, front position lamps, daytime running lights, and direction indicator functions, resulting in reduced or poor visibility. The compromised visibility may impact the driver’s night vision, posing an increased risk of accidents causing serious injury or even fatalities for vehicle occupants and other road users. Furthermore, the affected vehicles are not compliant with the Australian Design Rule ADR 46/00 for Headlamps.

The recall includes a total of 780 vehicles, and Jaguar Land Rover is promptly reaching out to owners of the affected models. They are advising these owners to visit their nearest dealer for a free fix to rectify the headlight issue. If you own a 2023 Range Rover or Range Rover Sport, it is crucial to check whether your vehicle is part of the recall. You can do so by accessing the VIN list Here. The VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is a unique code specific to your vehicle and can be found on the driver-side dashboard or door frame. Ensuring compliance with the recall and promptly scheduling the necessary repair will contribute to safer roads for all drivers and pedestrians.
