Jaguar Land Rover Australia has issued a recall for 4084 units of the Discovery SUV due to a potential water ingress problem in the rear passenger door latches. The affected vehicles are from the L462-generation Land Rover Discovery range, spanning model years 2016 to 2020.
According to the company’s official recall notice, a manufacturing defect has been identified, which may allow water to enter the rear passenger door latches and subsequently cause corrosion in the return spring. This corrosion can lead to issues with the doors not latching properly when closed and the hazard warning light failing to display on the instrument cluster as intended.
